About Tumescent Liposuction – Procedure

This can be cured by a method called liposuction. This liposuction has many types. One of them, which are latest and advanced, is the tumescent liposuction. This method employs a technique in which, a liquid is injected into the area where the fat deposit is large and it causes swelling. After swelling, by surgery or by burning, the fat is removed. This method is the simplest of all. But it requires an expert hand in dealing with the problem. The procedure is simple. The surgeon first sends in the swelling agent into the area where fat is deposited. The liquid is normally a mixture of lidocane and epinephrine solution. Then it is allowed to swell for some time. After swelling, surgery has to be done in that area.

The surgery is very painful and hence application of anesthesia is mandatory. In many cases they use local anesthesia, but some may use total anesthesia as well. After applying anesthesia, the area goes numb. Then surgery is performed. The surgery is very crucial and requires high concentration and experience. So it is better to consult a specialist cosmetic surgeon for this case. After successful completion of surgery, the swelling will remain there for about a week after the surgery and then subsides slowly. After the surgery, temporary scars will be there, which goes off in a week. Hence this surgery though looks simple, has a lot of workmanship involved for complete success.
